These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the official Sarawak Tourism ticketing platform on this website and any related mobile application (together, the “Platform”). By creating an account, placing an order, or confirming that you agree to these Terms at checkout, you enter into a binding agreement with us.
Who these terms cover
The Platform is operated by the Sarawak Tourism Board (“STB”, “we”, “us”). STB provides the website, checkout, payment hand-off, ticket delivery, and scanning tools.
Each event or attraction is offered by the organising agency or operator named on the listing (the “Organiser”). When you buy a ticket, you buy admission from that Organiser. STB operates the Platform and is not the organiser of every listing.
These Terms apply to guests and to registered users.
Buying a ticket
You may check out as a guest or while signed in. You must give an accurate name, email address, and, if you choose, a phone number. Tickets and the receipt are sent to the email address you provide.
Prices are shown in Malaysian ringgit (MYR) and include the amounts displayed at checkout. A promo code, if you apply one before payment, may change the total.
You must be able to enter a binding contract. If you buy a ticket for a child or another person, you accept these Terms on their behalf.
Seats and visit dates
Some products let you choose a seat on a seat map or ask us to assign the best available seats. A seat hold is temporary. The seat is yours only after payment is completed. If the hold expires or payment fails, the seat returns to sale.
Some products require a visit date. You must choose a date that the product allows. Entry is for that date, subject to the Organiser’s door policy.
Payment and ticket delivery
Payment is completed on a hosted payment page operated by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number on the Platform.
After a successful payment we email your tickets as a PDF. Each ticket includes a signed QR code. The QR code identifies the ticket. It does not contain your name, email address, or phone number.
Keep your tickets and the email address you used. A signed-in buyer can also open tickets again from My tickets.
Entry
The QR code is the ticket. Present it at the entrance, on paper or on a screen. Each ticket may be scanned once for a valid entry, unless the Organiser’s rules for that listing say otherwise.
The Organiser may refuse entry if the ticket is duplicated, cancelled, refunded, expired, presented on the wrong date, or fails validation.
Changes and refunds
Tickets are non-refundable unless the listing or the Organiser’s refund policy says otherwise.
Where a policy allows a refund, a signed-in buyer may request one from My tickets. Staff review the request before any money is returned. A request is not a guarantee of a refund.
If an Organiser cancels an event, we may refund affected orders in accordance with that cancellation.
Schedule changes, venue changes, and door policies are set by the Organiser. We will use reasonable efforts to show accurate listing information. Check the listing before you travel.
Accounts and acceptable use
If you create an account, you are responsible for the activity on it and for keeping your sign-in details confidential.
You must not:
- interfere with checkout, seat holds, or scanning;
- copy, share, or resell tickets except as the Organiser allows;
- attempt to access another person’s orders or tickets; or
- use the Platform in a way that is unlawful or that harms other buyers, Organisers, or STB.
We may suspend an account or cancel tickets issued in breach of these Terms.
Intellectual property
The Platform, including its design, text, and software, is owned by STB or its licensors. Listing names, images, and descriptions may belong to the relevant Organiser.
You may not copy or reuse Platform content except to buy and use your own tickets, or as allowed by law.
Liability
Admission, the conduct of the event or attraction, and on-site safety are the responsibility of the Organiser.
To the extent Malaysian law allows, STB’s liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Malaysian law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Sarawak have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or from your use of the Platform.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. The Terms in force when you complete checkout apply to that order. Continued use of the Platform after a change applies to later visits and orders.
